Initiatives

edX

edX

As online education continues to evolve at MIT, CETI has begun to introduce edX to students. The revolutionary platform brings about many possibilities, and CETI looks to further incorporate edX in the future.

MIT OCW

MIT OCW

Since 2004, CETI has collaborated with OCW (OpenCourseWare) to introduce online education materials to students at Chinese universities and high schools. The partnership works well with CETI’s original goal to help connect Chinese schools to the internet. Now in its second decade, OCW remains a valuable resource to everyone in the world who wishes to learn from the course materials. Although CETIzens design their own curriculum, CETI teams often present some OCW materials as part of their lessons.

Google App Inventor

Google App Inventor

In 2014, CETI launched a pilot program with Google App Inventor in which CETIzens will introduce the program to university and high school teachers. These teachers will then help students who may not have a background in computer science and encourage innovation and experimentation through app development.
